The problem
Cormac Murray's reputation lived in fifty five-star Google reviews and nowhere else. Two decades of work across Lisburn, Dunmurry and South Belfast, all of it arriving by word of mouth, none of it visible to anyone who searched for him.
The opportunity: give that reputation somewhere to live. Not a generic plumber template with a stock photo of a spanner, but a site that sounds like the man his reviewers describe, who turns up, does the job, and leaves the place spotless.
The approach
Every one of his public reviews was read before a word was written. The promise that opens the site, “Any job, any hour, left spotless”, is built from the three things his customers mention most: he takes small jobs, he answers at odd hours, and reviewers keep bringing up how tidy he leaves the house.
The design is warm and editorial: soft paper tones, an italic serif for the promise line, real photographs of finished work. Because Cormac answers his own phone, contact is a call button and WhatsApp rather than a form that emails an inbox nobody checks.
The details
- Copy from evidence. Every claim on the page traces back to a real review; nothing is asserted that a customer hasn't already said.
- Everyday plumbing, front and centre. The day-to-day work is taps, leaks, radiators and bathrooms, so the site leads with those instead of the boiler-first framing every competitor uses.
- Review markup. His 5.0 rating is structured so search engines can read and display it.
- One page, on purpose. A one-person business doesn't need a nav tree; it needs one page that convinces and a button that rings.
